Having recently celebrated its 19th anniversary, Tresor stands as a monument to Berlin's stake to be the capital of techno long before it was affixed with the world 'minimal'. Originally housed in the vaults of what was once Europe's largest department store, the club has played host to everyone from a young Paul van Dyk to faceless techno-lords Underground Resistance, before redevelopment forced it out in 2005 with a star-studded closing.
By 2007, after a series of roving parties, it was back to business with a new home in a three-floored, former power station to keeps the original underground vibe alive.
"The venue is cool because it's huge and industrial," enthuses Gutterslut resident and recent Larry T collaborator, Per QX. "And it's a great crowd. You get everyone from really young rave kids to trannies."
